Classical education is another term for Liberal Arts, which comes from a 2,400 year tradition of teaching students how to think, and not just what to think, with an emphasis on virtue and wisdom. It is precisely this kind of education that has produced countless leaders, inventors, artists, and theologians throughout history.

Classical education through the Liberal Arts goes well beyond our commonplace understanding of a basic college degree. It is foundational to the way God designed us to learn. The Trivium (three paths) and the Quadrivium (four paths) comprise the foundation of all learning, with the Trivium focusing on the art (skill) of words and the Quadrivium the art (skill) of numbers. An individual who has mastery of words and mastery of numbers truly lays a foundation for lifelong learning. This became increasingly valuable to early Christians who found in Jesus the ultimate expression of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Many of our students do not have a background in classical education before enrolling. We use academic testing and family interviews to assess a student’s learning level and ensure they are placed in the most fitting classes. Furthermore, students are supported with training and instruction in foundational skills and knowledge. Those students who enthusiastically desire to learn and grow and who have supportive family settings to help them navigate this new experience will find the most success at St. Clement.

The school is under the leadership of Pope Kyrillos VI Coptic Orthodox Church. 

Yes! St. Clement Orthodox Christian Academy is qualified to receive TEFA funds, and can be found on the School Finder. The application deadline for the 2026-2027 school year was March 17, 2026. Families that do not yet have a TEFA are encouraged to apply when the Comptroller of Texas opens up the application portal for the 2027-2028 school year.

You may select St. Clement Orthodox Christian Academy in your Odyssey account once you have decided to attend. However, selecting St. Clement in Odyssey does not complete your enrollment. Families must also complete the school's admissions and enrollment process. Once we have confirmed your enrollment, we will verify it in the Odyssey portal so your TEFA funds can be applied to tuition.

Below is the process for families who have already been awarded TEFA funds.  For families who received TEFA awards during the initial award cycle, July 15 is the deadline to accept their award and designate a participating TEFA-eligible school in the Odyssey portal.

Here is the process:

1. Log into the Odyssey TEFA portal.
   Awarded families must log into their Odyssey account after receiving their award notification. (Odyssey Login )
2. Accept the TEFA award.
   Before funds can be disbursed, the family must accept participation in the program. 
3. Select the participating private school.
   Within the Odyssey portal, parents choose the participating TEFA school where their child will be enrolled. This is the school designated to receive tuition payments from the student's TEFA account. 
4. The school confirms enrollment.
   After the parent makes the selection, the school receives the notification and must verify that the student is enrolled. Funding is not released until the school confirms enrollment.

We are offering Primary and Secondary Prep (traditionally grades K-8) in the 2026-2027 school year, and will extend through grade 12 pending enrollment. 

The school will meet 5 days a week during the school year, from 7:30 to 3:30.
